Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP Scholarship Details
Now we will talk about the details of the MTCP, which is one of the highest stipend scholarships in Malaysia. The MTCP scholarship is offered by the Malaysian government and was launched in the 1980s. Right now, more than 37,000 international students from 144 countries benefit from this scholarship. This scholarship is offered for 2–3 years, and the main aim of this scholarship is to play the role of international brains in the Malaysian economy. International exposure also helps students play a significant role in their homeland economy.
Eligibility
Below are the eligibility criteria of Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP).
- Bachelors and PhD programs are not offered under this scholarship. Only those students who can apply there who can’t pursue masters from world-class universities who have a good ranking as well.
- International students from those countries who are on the list of MTCP recipients can apply for this scholarship, and Pakistanis are included in this list, so you have no need to worry about it.
- Those whose age is less than 45 can apply for this scholarship.
- If your CGPA is greater than 3.5 in bachelors, then you can apply for this scholarship; otherwise, you are not eligible for this scholarship.
Academic Qualification Criteria
- Your CGPA should be higher than 3.5 in your bachelor
- You should have a suitable command of the English language.
- Your IELTS score should be 6.0 overall or above.
- The TOEFL IBT total score should be 60 or above.
- If you have an English proficiency letter from your previous institute that shows your English language performance is satisfactory, you can also apply on the basis of this certificate.
Scholarship Coverage
This Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) scholarship covers your tuition fees and also gives you a good stipend, which is approximately 3500 RMB, which is nearly equal to more than 2 lacs in Pakistani currency.

The documents required for this scholarship are the same as those required for other normal scholarships. If you have applied for a Malaysian international scholarship (MIS), then you have no need to prepare extra documents other than two to three.

Total Programs Apply
Remember, you cannot apply to multiple programs for this scholarship. You have to select only one program out of the given ones, and you can apply to only one of them. Your other applications will be rejected by the nomination authorities.
